This last weekend we celebrated my sweet hubby’s 50th birthday and my not 50th birthday! đđđSuch a fun weekend. I even got to spend some time in my studio making his birthday card. You know how couples will go into a store that sells greeting cards and they pick one for each other, show it to their love and then put it back on the shelf?! Well, I do that too…except I make the card, do not write anything in it, give it to him and he loves it! This is how I gave him his birthday card this year. Now, I get to share it with you and I have a card ready to send out in the future. Win, WIN!

My hubby is a great bowler, he has some mad skills! So when I get the opportunity to make him a bowling card, I do. This card started off by cutting a 8.5×11 cardstock in half and folded that half. I used my stencil to ink blend a green background. I stamped, colored and fussy cut out the bowler. I placed him on a wobble and adhered him the front of the card. With my lawn fawn black dye ink pad I stamped Happy Birthday, this was from a random stamp set I had gotten years and years and years ago. I then took the stamp image of a bowling pin and stamped that on the side of the card. I colored a little bit of red with a colored pencil and then added glossy accents to the pins. This gave them a glossy, raised look. The inside is blank for now, I can either handwrite something or stamp something later. Such a fun, fast card to make. It really make the hubs smile! I hope you enjoyed this card.
