Fancy Fold Card

Good Morning crafty friends! I had a fantastic vacation last week and I am almost ready to jump back into the swing of things as soon as Monday is over. LOL! I was excited for the beautiful weather this weekend and while I got to be outside and enjoy it, my heart was longing to be up in my studio making cards. Recently I made a purchase of a new die cut and I was shocked when it came how big it was. But after doing some research and hanging around my crafty peeps on various Facebook groups, I realized what I got wasn’t what I thought I ordered. So now I am so excited about this die and what it does. I guess I should pay more attention to what I order! This time it was a happy accident! So here is the card that we are going to talk about today!

Mother’s day is coming up soon, and so I thought I would try this new die set out with a Mother’s day card. I really need to start working with more of my paper. I have so much and haven’t used it on cards. SO, that was my goal, use some paper up and use this new die. I cut all the pieces of paper out using my new die set. Once I figured out the fold I re-enforced them. I glued everything together. It really did come together quickly, the part that took the longest was going through all my paper and deciding which paper to use! I wanted to add some dimension to the card so I went through my embellishments and found some flowers. I stamped Mother’s day on the back of the card and used the word “Happy” die cut for the front. I love how fun this open and fold is. You are able to embellish the front and the back of the circle. Such a fun card to get!
