Oh my gosh, I LOVE this technique! I was on a roll, I couldn’t stop making them! It was so much fun using the new forever flower stamp kit from Gina K designs to make these cards. This technique is so fast and quick. I seriously just got out of my studio after only a half an hour and got two of these cards done. These cards have such a fantastic wow factor, I am obsessed.
So to recap from the other day when I shared the adulting is hard card, you will start by heat embossing on a white piece of cardstock you could use what ever color you intend to ink blend with but for the above card I chose white. Once it is heat embossed, set up your station for ink blending. For this card, I used peacock feather dioxide ink by Tim Holtz. I started using the brush and the ink and rubbing it over the embossed image. Once I had the color and intensity that I wanted I used a towel to take off the excess ink, off of the embossed image. At the moment your image will really POP! I then used my Gina K designs stitched nesting dies to cut out the image and the black mat for behind. I went back to the stamp set and picked out the sentiment love and hugs and heat embossed this in white and cut it out to look like a banner. This stamp set also comes with the word Forever, so I cut it out using black cardstock and white cardstock for the back. Once adhered to the card just the way it looked good, I added some pearl blue gems and popped up the sentiment. I made it all come together with the coordinating paper that also came in the kit. The inside I left blank, so I could write my own message in there! Such a pretty card and so simple and quick!
I hope you get time to play today. I got two cards done and can’t wait to get back in there later. But, I have to adult today too. SO for now, the playing waits! Have a great day, Everyone!
