I went into my studio this weekend and looked at some paper that I needed to use! I really am more than just a collector of pretty papers, sometimes I use it too. 🤣 Ahhhh, paper, there are so many things to say about paper. The one thing that I think everyone things makes me a little bit strange is that, I love the smell of paper. When you open a pack of new paper or walk into a scrapbook store…oh, such an amazing smell! I know I am a little strange, but that’s ok, it’s me! Ok enough about me and my strange obsession with paper, lets talk about todays card.

Isn’t it pretty?! I love the colors craft brown and black together. As you know I am into vintage, antique looking things. This paper checks that off the list. Alright, so I started by cutting a piece of black cardstock to 4.25×5.5. I then scored it at 5.5 and 2.75. This will create the fold for the easel part of the card. I then cut the patterned paper and a craft color cardstock to the appropriate size so that the patterned paper was matted. I then went looking for the metal die that I got a few weekends ago and cut that out of black and craft color cardstock. Then I used a hello friend die and cut that out. I glued everything together and then added it to the card. To finish it off I added black pearl/gems to the front. When I attached the whole thing to the card base I only added liquid glue tot he bottom portion of the card base so that you can fold it up when the card is opened. I glued the word friend to the inside of the card and that is what is holding the card up. This card makes me smile. I hope that it makes whoever receives it smile as well.

Ok, you job for today, may seem a little silly, but go sniff some paper. Ha ha ha. You won’t think I am so silly then. Also, go use up some of that paper that have been sitting on your shelf for awhile.
Paper Hugs!
