I am on a roll with these hug cards! Today I am sharing with you a fun way to have the stamped image on the outside and the inside of the card.

I used a Simon says stamp set, these is the same set that I used in yesterdays post. The stamp I chose is a little bigger. I liked it because it uses up a bigger portion of the card front.
First I stamped my image and colored it in. Of course I used my two favorite things. Alcohol inks and a sparkle pen, today I used a blue sparklepen from Spectrum Noir. I cut out one extra image just on plain cardstock and adhered that to the colored image. I set that aside. I then took my card base, a 4.25×5.5 folded card. I placed the Hug die on the front of the card laid out flat on my platform for my cutting machine and cut it out. I waned to put a sentiment at the top of the card and so I thought the best stamp to go with this image was “I wish I could give you a” stamp. So I stamped that in black on white cardstock and backed it with black cardstock. I then folded my card and put liquid glue on the back of my stamped image. I lined it up with the cut out on the front of the card. Once lined up I pushed it down to stick. I made sure that the front of the card didn’t stick to any of the extra glue that may have oozed out. I used a tape runner to put adhesive on the back of my sentiment strip and placed that on the front near the top of my card. The bottom was looking a little empty so I found 3 blue gems to place down there.
Well, if you can’t hug them in person, send them a paper hug! I hope you find time to create something special for someone! Check out the links to the right for some fun inspiration!
