Good Morning everyone! I hope you are ready to start your day with this precious little baby card. I created this card for a very sweet friend’s baby shower. I was also part of the group that was hosting the baby shower so I didn’t leave myself much time to create this card. So I turned to my Silhouette. I love this machine. It is has so many easy options for cutting out a base of a card. I can just go to the online store find what I am looking for, load my paper and just like that you got yourself the start of a cute card! It is ok to let yourself take the easy route for creating a card sometimes. I think we let ourselves get to stressed about what the right way to create a card. The truth is, there is no right or wrong way. It is the love that you want your recipient to feel when they open your card. That is what is important. So give your self the grace to have a little help from something that you feel is to easy.
I used 110lbs cardstock from Park Lane (JoAnne’s). I cut the design out on my silhouette (cameo) I then placed teal colored paper behind the cut out. It needed a little something extra so I cut a strip of the same colored background and added the sentiment to the front. I popped it up using some foam dots and added the cut ends to look like a bow. To finish everything off I added a few sparkly gems to it. I didn’t want to get to girly as the Mom was having a boy. But I still wanted it to be sweet. I had to use a little bit larger envelope as the bow made the card a little to big for a regular size envelope. This was a fast card, but still as sweet as the new baby!
Paper Hugs!
